Annual Women’s Day Celebration
Chairlady Sister Bertha Shaffer and the Persimmon Grove Missionary Baptist Church family cordially invite the public to join them at their annual Women’s Day Celebration program, which will take place at 11 a.m. SUNDAY, JUNE 2. The special speaker for this glorious occasion will be Persimmon Grove’s own Sister Jennifer Russell. Persimmon Grove, “Where everybody is somebody and God is the main attraction,” is located at 617 Landfield Road, Sunflower. The colors of the day will be pastels (light colors).

Pastor’s 32nd-Year Anniversary
Celebration

Vacation Bible School
Delta Missions, located at 410 Johnson Street, Indianola, will be hosting Vacation Bible School from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. JUNE 3-7. In "Breaker Rock Beach," youth will be challenged as they discover that God's truth never changes and everyone needs Jesus. Arts and crafts, recreation and snacks will be provided. Come, learn, and have fun at the beach!
Youth Gospel Explosion
All youth groups are invited to come sing, praise dance, and play gospel music at a Youth Gospel Explosion to be held at 6:30 p.m. THURSDAY, JUNE 6, at Temple of Deliverance Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1301 Fourth Avenue, Indianola. Free First Friday Film Fellowship
At 7 p.m. on FRIDAY, JUNE 7, First Presbyterian Church is hosting their monthly free First Friday Film Fellowship in which a movie is viewed and discussed. Films are selected across a variety of genres (action, classic, comedy, drama, romance, sci-fi) in an effort to explore different views on life, society, and relationships. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ” (Romans 12:2). Everyone 13 and older is welcome to gather in the FPC Fellowship Hall for popcorn, soda, and a discussion of the film's cultural and religious issues.
