MVSU Valley Singers Invited to Verona International Choral Competition An extraordinary opportunity has presented itself for the MVSU Valley Singers. The choir has been invited to participate in the prestigious 2025 Verona International Choral Competition, MARCH 26-31, and they are excited about the prospect of representing the university and community on an international stage. However, the total cost of the trip amounts to $165,100 and they are reaching out to individuals and organizations within the community for assistance. Your contribution, no matter the size, would go a long way in helping to achieve the goal of attending the competition. Whether it be a direct monetary donation or support in any other form, your generosity will directly contribute to the success and growth of the choir members. Church Histories Requested The Sunflower County Library System’s History and Archives department is developing a collection of local church history. The pages of Scripture are filled with the history of God’s holy people, and because of the work of those who recorded it, that history was not lost, and we today can benefit from it. The Henry M. Seymour Library in Indianola is embarking on a project to collect and record church histories from around Sunflower County. If your church has a compiled church history, please let us know! If you would like help compiling a history for your church, please let us know! We believe there is a rich history in Sunflower County churches, and we want it to be preserved for future generations.
