One Indianolan in particular is looking forward to this weekend’s visit by hometown Blues great Riley “BB” King. The Rev. Birkett Davis, pastor of New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, said he is pleased with the opportunity to visit again with his old friend. Rev. Davis sang with King from 1942-44 as a member of the St. John’s Gospel Singers before King’s climb to musical fame.
