Walls now rise where once only girders stood as the expansion of Planters Bank main office proceeds on schedule. It is part of a 5,455 sq. ft. addition to the existing building.

The 1999 Gentry High School Rams, coached by Elmo Hickingbottom and Eddye Calhoun, have earned another chance at the State Championship. First they must beat the Jim Hill High School Tigers in a game tomorrow in the State Coliseum.

The last load of grain bound for hurricane victims in Honduras was loaded recently at StapleCotn in Indianola. Some 329 tons of grain were delivered by an Indianola delegation to the devastated country.

The speed limit on state highways was lowered this week from 65 to 55 mph for passenger vehicles and from 55 to 50 for trucks due to bill recently signed into law by Gov. Bill Waller.

Indianolans this weekend were greeted with an increase in the cost of First Class postage from eight cents to 15 cents this week.
