With game one of their new season now under their belts, the Gentry High basketball teams resume play this Saturday.
Ironically, the Rams and Lady Rams will be at Pontotoc High School mere hours following the Gentry High football team playing its Friday night playoff game against the Warriors.
Once arriving at that Pontotoc High gymnasium, however, the two Gentry High teams will participate in a one day tournament event.
A 9:45 a.m. tipoff will pit the Lady Rams against the Lady Troopers of Mooreville High School.
The Rams will then take the court at 1 p.m. against the Red Raiders of Shannon High School.
Additional Gentry High basketball will occur next Tuesday when the Wolves of Cleveland Central High School come to Indianola.
Tipoff for the girls game is set for 6 p.m. while the boys game will follow immediately thereafter.
The Rams and Lady Rams opened their new season in positive fashion last Thursday with dominating victories over the squads from Tunica Rosa Fort High School.
While the Lady Rams prevailed by a 65-23 margin, the Rams manhandled the Lions by claiming a 75-24 decision.
