City and county officials from Bolivar and Sunflower counties as well as state officials converged in Cleveland on Thursday as guests of Central District Transportation Commissioner Willie Simmons.
At the invitation of the commissioner, the invited guests were given the opportunity to tour his new offices at 613 East Sunflower Road and were treated to refreshments afterwards.
Laquisha Williams, the assistant to Commissioner Simmons, who also has an office in the building, said they will be available to address and answer questions and concerns.
Simmons is in his first term as Central District Transportation Commissioner and serves hundreds of thousands of constituents over a 22 county area.
In addition to the two offices, the building also houses a conference and reception area.
