Based on postseason honors, the future appears promising for the Indianola Academy Lady Colonels soccer program.
With the season now complete, there were four Lady Colonels among those from across the state awarded All-Division III honors at the recent MSAIS All-Star game.
Fortunately for IA Head Coach Alex Deason, three of those athletes are underclassmen.
Completing their 2024 season in strong fashion, which included a semi-final appearance in the Division III State Playoffs, the Lady Colonels saw a senior, a junior, a sophomore, and a freshman receive this postseason honor.
While wingback/defender Emma Grace Putnam represented the senior class, sophomore Mae Veazey and freshman Emeline Beilmann received notice for their play at the attacking central midfielder position.
Also earning a spot on the All-Division III squad following her excellent play at the goalkeeper position was junior Julia Davis.
