There was stand-on-your-feet, exciting basketball being played inside the Gentry High School gymnasium this past Tuesday night.
During this final regular season night of play against Senatobia High School, while the Lady Rams opened with a hard-fought 40-39 loss, the Rams emphatically avenged an earlier loss to the visiting Warriors.
Riding the double digit scoring of four players and suffocating defense, the Rams manhandled the Senatobia squad by a 65-42 score.
With those games now behind them, it is time for the Gentry squads to turn their attention to postseason play; a journey which begins with the Region 3-4A Tournament.

While the Rams are firmly entrenched as the No. 1 seed entering the tournament, the Lady Rams are awaiting the outcome of an upcoming Clarksdale versus Yazoo City contest.
Hoping for a Clarksdale victory, the result of that game will determine if the Lady Rams will emerge as the No. 1 or No. 2 seed from Region 3-4A play.
Game times and schedules for this upcoming tournament are to be announced.
