Indianola, MS- Organizers are in the final planning stages for the 46th annual tennis, golf and bridge tournament. The tournament will be on Saturday, May 7th. Golf and tennis will be played at the Indianola Country Club, and bridge will be played Planters Bank.
“Our team has been working hard to get everything ready for the tournament.” stated Will McDowell, DIT Tournament Chairman. “Our registration numbers look good for all the tournaments, and we are expecting a large crowd for the Crawfish Boil. This is the second year for the Crawfish Boil which was a big hit last year.”
The tournament is a fundraiser to help in the fight against cancer. Over $797,000 has been donated in the past 45 years. The money from this year’s tournament will be donated to the American Cancer Society and Delta Cotton Belles. Representatives from both organizations will be at the 10:00 a.m. opening ceremony to receive checks.
