Applications to be considered the recipient of the Mayor’s Crimson Christmas Charity Ball, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Dec. 20, are now available.
Applications are available to organizations that meet the criteria. To request an application, email FirstLadiesUnitedFellowship@gmail.com; or stop by Indianola City Hall to retrieve a copy.
The Mayor’s Crimson Christmas Charity Ball will be held at the Indianola National Guard Armory. Tickets are $50 each and are available to purchase now through TicketLeap.
All proceeds will be donated to one of Indianola’s non-profit organizations. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The organization is a health/human services, arts, cultural, youth sports/activity or animal rescue non-profit entity benefiting their constituents in the Municipality of Indianola.
- The organization has 501(c)3 federal tax-exempt status.
- The organization’s physical office has been located in Indianola for one year preceding the application.
- The organization has articles of incorporation and by-laws that have been filed with the State of Mississippi or is a recognized local chapter of a national organization.
- The organization has a full-time, volunteer board of directors based in Indianola and comprised of at least five members who are at least 19 years of age.
- The organization has a nondiscrimination policy for personnel, clients and volunteers.
- The organization receives at least 20% or $50,000 (whichever is less) of its annual budget from charitable giving.
Proceeds from the Mayor’s Crimson Christmas Charity Ball must be used to further the mission of the recipient organization and benefit their constituents in Indianola. Funds cannot be used for advocacy, lobbying, or national/statewide programs or services.
- The organization was not selected as a City of Indianola Mayor’s Charity Ball recipient within the last five years.
