Greetings Indianola,
Last week, I had the honor of taking the oath of office for my second term as mayor of Indianola. Standing before our citizens, I felt the weight of responsibility and the privilege of service more deeply than ever. This moment was not simply a ceremony; it was a renewed covenant between the people of Indianola and the leadership they have entrusted to guide our city forward. I remain humbled by your confidence, committed to data driven decision making and energized by the work ahead.
As I begin this new term, my commitment is to unite our community around the shared priorities that matter most: strengthening infrastructure, enhancing public safety, expanding economic opportunity, and ensuring fiscal responsibility and ethical transparency in every decision we make. No decision is made without seeking GOD, reviewing all available facts with sound counsel, and adhering to the law. We are also entering a season of bold ideas. We are reimagining our educational partnerships, elevating our entertainment and tourism potential, and embracing the fresh perspectives of our newly elected board of aldermen. Together, we have the opportunity to build a city that honors its history while boldly shaping its future.
Indianola’s greatest strength has always been its people. We are resilient, creative, and determined. I look forward to working alongside each of you as we continue the progress we’ve begun and pursue the promise of what Indianola can become. Thank you for allowing me to serve. Our best days are still ahead.
Let’s continue to go higher, Indianola!
Mayor Ken Featherstone
