An always-tough MACCC schedule has hit the 2025 softball season.
The Lady Trojans have lost two at home and two on the road to fall 0-4 in conference play. A doubleheader home tilt with Itawamba last Friday had the Lady Trojans on the wrong end of 11-1 and 6-3 scores.
This past Tuesday, the ladies traveled to Southwest and lost 7-1 and 12-7.
Thursday, the Lady Trojans hosted East Central (not covered due to press time) and then pick up play again on Wednesday, March 19, when they travel to Northwest.
Stat wise, over 22 games the Lady Trojans have 119 runs and are batting .292 as a team with nine home runs.
Hitting stats are picking up as Adriyana Ruffin still leads the team with a .521 average followed by Zariah Wells at .424. Takiya Shaw is hitting .405 and Allie Johnson is at .365.
