"I'd like to say that the Men in Suits March is a good initiative for young men to see. It's awesome for grown men to be in suits, which overall displays good mannerisms and styles and lets people know there are endless opportunities for youth. Every man out here this morning looks so well," said Sunflower County Supervisor Gloria Dickerson.
Being a native of Drew, Kenwuan Meeks always had a passion for change. He’s a retired U.S. Navy veteran, a talk show personality, and CEO of Men in Mississippi. Meeks and his organization serve as mentors to youth across the state, advocate against gun violence, and strive to provide endless opportunities for all youth.
On Saturday, Meeks, CEO and founder of Men in Mississippi, hosted a walk in Drew. He intended this initiative to bring light to young and older men in suits displaying great style, good mannerisms, etiquette, and top-of-the-line professionalism. This initiative lets youth know they can be whatever they set their mind to. “I think this is a great event. Mr. Meeks has a great purpose in mind so our young men and women can see men in suits. This shows you can dress comfortably and appropriately and express yourself in many ways in professional clothing. I wouldn’t have missed this walk for anything in the world, and I wish this would happen more,” said Eric Lakes, principal of Thomas E. Edwards High School.
