NATIONAL SUMMARY
An intense, large storm system will move out of the
Northwest and into the northern Rockies and Plains states
tomorrow. Accumulating snow will be widespread from Idaho
and Utah eastward to Wisconsin and southward to Kansas, with
over 6 inches of snow in many locations. With strong
sustained winds, blizzard conditions are expected in the
Colorado Rockies and High Plains. Travel will become
difficult to impossible in many of these areas, even on
major interstate routes. Bitterly cold conditions are also
expected, with subzero low temperatures as far south as
Oklahoma. Generally, quieter weather is anticipated in the
East, with some rain throughout the day in the Carolinas.
