The Nation's Weather for Friday, April 7, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain and thunderstorms will raise the risk of flooding from
eastern Texas to southern South Carolina tomorrow. However,
rain can extend as far north as southern Virginia with
thunderstorms over much of central and South Texas. Rain and
mountain snow will continue to expand in the West, reaching
south to Northern California and inland into much of Idaho.
A few flurries or some light snow can fall over northern
Maine, especially early in the day. Temperatures are
expected to climb above freezing throughout the northern
Plains and Upper Midwest, which should allow snow to begin
to melt. Warm air will remain over Florida, and some
locations could tie or break record high temperatures. Much
cooler air will arrive over the mid-Atlantic.
