The Nation's Weather for Thursday, April 20, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Strong thunderstorms will already be ongoing in portions of
Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and perhaps far northern Texas
tomorrow morning. Throughout the day, storms will push
eastward and northward, potentially impacting a region
extending from southern Wisconsin to northeastern Texas.
Damaging winds, hail and perhaps a tornado can be expected.
Additionally, localized flooding is possible where multiple
storms track over the same place. Farther north, continued
rain is expected in Minnesota and Wisconsin in the same
spots that recently received heavy snow. This combination of
snowmelt and rain will lead to substantial river flooding,
especially along the Red River and Mississippi River.
