NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms are expected to become severe tomorrow,
delivering the risk for flooding downpours, hail and even
some tornadoes from the mid-South into Lower Michigan. North
and west of this zone, showers and an area of steadier rain
are expected across parts of the Midwest, with thunderstorms
possible in the eastern Great Lakes region. Widespread
showers and thunderstorms will develop through the Northeast
around a slow-moving disturbance. Afternoon thunderstorms
are also expected to build over mainly South Florida. Much
of the Plains will be dry along with the Southwest as
extreme heat continues in Texas. Most others will also
remain dry, but another day of afternoon thunderstorms is in
store from Northern California into western Montana.
