NATIONAL SUMMARY
From tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours, severe
thunderstorms are expected to bring the risk for large hail,
strong winds and even some tornadoes for portions of the
Plains, including a zone stretching from north-central
Kansas into southwestern Minnesota. More spotty thunderstorm
coverage will extend farther south into Louisiana and
eastern Texas through the day. An area of low pressure will
organize off the Southeast coastline as the day progresses,
eventually bringing tropical downpours to mainly coastal
areas of Virginia and North Carolina. Elsewhere, a strong
storm will push eastward across the Intermountain West,
delivering heavy rainfall to spots from Montana into Wyoming
and Idaho, with snow possible at the highest elevations.
