The Nation's Weather for Monday, February 14, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm will bring rain, mountain snow and colder weather
to the Northwest tomorrow while the Southwest remains dry
and unseasonably warm, particularly in California, Nevada
and Arizona. To the east, cold air is expected to dive
southward from Canada into the northern Plains ahead of
another fast-moving storm. The central and southern Plains
will be much more mild while conditions remain frigid in
the Great Lakes and eastern Ohio Valley. Snow and flurries
are also anticipated in the Great Lakes, particularly
across Michigan, while snow in the Northeast will remain
confined to coastal Maine as the region dries out but
remains bitterly cold and breezy, especially along the
coast. Warmer air is forecast to arrive in the Southeast,
but will not reach the states bordering the Atlantic Ocean.
