The Nation's Weather for Monday, December 18, 2023
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
During the day tomorrow, a powerful storm will continue to
bring significant impacts to areas from the mid-Atlantic
through New England. These impacts will include very strong
coastal wind gusts from the mid-Atlantic through New
England and heavy rain from eastern New York into southern
New Brunswick in Canada. On the colder side of the storm, a
more frigid air mass will produce widespread snow showers
from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan across the Great Lakes
and into the Ohio Valley and the Appalachians of West
Virginia. Otherwise, quieter conditions will spread across
the Southeast as high pressure works into the region, with
largely dry conditions remaining in place from the Plains
through the interior West. However, a slow-moving storm
will drop rain and mountain snow along the West Coast.
