NATIONAL SUMMARY
A potent storm will bring a large area of rain from the
Great Lakes all the way to the Gulf Coast and Southeast
tomorrow. Embedded thunderstorms will also expand from the
Florida Panhandle through western Tennessee. Some of the
thunderstorms can be heavy, with flooding possible on
streets and highways in the most persistent downpours. On
the back side of this potent storm, snow is expected instead
for places from eastern Minnesota southwestward into Kansas.
In addition to the snow, windy conditions will be in place,
causing blizzard conditions to be possible at times. Damp
conditions will be in store for costal New England as
drizzle falls across the area. Meanwhile, an approaching
storm will bring rain and mountain snow to coastal areas of
the Pacific Northwest. Most others will stay dry today.
