The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, January 30, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A clipper storm diving southward across the Great Lakes
region will produce the nation's highest chances for
precipitation tomorrow, with a zone of accumulating snow
expected to extend from parts of Michigan into northern
Ohio. A mix of wintry precipitation is more likely across
much of Indiana and southern Ohio, with mainly rain showers
south of there into Kentucky, Tennessee and western West
Virginia as the day progresses. Otherwise, high pressure
will lead to largely dry conditions from the East Coast
through the South and across the Plains. An even larger area
of high pressure will provide dry conditions for nearly all
of the West, with a good deal of sunshine in and around the
Four Corners region, but as the next storm nears the West
Coast, showers return to the Northwest coastline.
