NATIONAL SUMMARY
Rain will spread across much of the Northeast and
mid-Atlantic tomorrow as a potent storm travels across the
regions. Farther south, thunderstorms can accompany rain at
times from coastal South Carolina to Florida. The heaviest
rain will focus from North Carolina to southern New England
through the nighttime hours, where there can be flooding on
streets and in poor drainage areas. On the other side of the
nation, another departing storm will continue to bring rain
and high-elevation snow showers across portions of the
Southwest. Thunderstorms can arrive in Southern California
late in the afternoon, potentially bringing some small hail.
Meanwhile, a quick-moving storm will bring steadier snow to
North Dakota and northern Minnesota. Mild and mainly dry
weather will continue in the southern Plains.
