The Nation's Weather for Thursday, December 19, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm moving across the Great Lakes region tomorrow will
spread snow from southern Canada to western New York
overnight. Snow in Wisconsin and Minnesota can lead to
rapidly deteriorating visibility and travel conditions for
the evening commute. It will be very windy across the
northern Plains and northern Rockies. Wind gusts of 30-50
mph can lead to localized power outages and blow around
loose objects. Meanwhile, a bit of rain will approach
Washington and Oregon late in the day and overnight. The
rest of the nation will primarily be dry, except for the
Atlantic coast of Florida, where there can be a spotty
thundershower. East of the Rockies, cooler air will begin to
settle in. Patchy fog is expected to start the day in the
Central California valley before breaking for sunshine.
