NATIONAL SUMMARY
A storm can bring thunderstorms to the Southeast and
mid-Atlantic tomorrow that can potentially bring localized
damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes. Even a gusty
shower can occur in the Appalachians up into eastern Ohio
and southwestern Pennsylvania. A gusty shower may also be
able to occur as far north as southern New Jersey and
Philadelphia. Otherwise, heavy rain in the southern
Appalachians can potentially lead to localized flooding,
especially in areas that have been affected by Helene.
Steadier periods of rain are expected in much of the
Northeast and New England. In central and eastern Maine
there may be freezing rain that can accrete as ice in the
morning. A storm in the Northwest will bring rain to
Northern California, Oregon and Washington.
