The Nation's Weather for Monday, January 13, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
In Southern California, another round of strong winds are
expected in the typical Santa Ana spots tomorrow. Winds can
gust between 40-60 mph elevating the fire danger and can
make fire containment difficult. Meanwhile, a bit of snow
will move through the eastern Great Lakes states early
before lake-effect snow showers begin downwind of the Great
Lakes late in the day. Any heavier snow showers can lead to
slow, slippery travel and reduce visibility. Elsewhere, a
bit of rain will extend inland across Alabama, Georgia and
Florida. It will be mainly dry for the rest of the nation,
except in Montana, where there can be a bit of snow. In the
central Plains, areas of fog are expected to start the day,
with sunshine returning by the afternoon. From North Dakota
to New Jersey it will be breezy and turning colder late.
