NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, a winter storm moving along the Atlantic coast
will spread snow and rain from North Carolina to Maine. Snow
will extend from the Interstate 95 corridor inland from
Virginia to Maine. Along the coast and farther to the south,
precipitation will be rain. In Florida, there can be a few
rumbles of thunder. From Maryland to Massachusetts, heavy
snow can lead to rapidly worsening travel conditions with
low visibility and slippery roads. There can be a few snow
showers around the Great Lakes to across the eastern Ohio
Valley. The rest of the nation will be dry, but east of the
Rocky Mountains it will be breezy and very cold. With
another push of Arctic air temperatures across the nation's
midsection will be 15-25 degrees Fahrenheit below the
historical average for late January.
