The Nation's Weather for Sunday, January 26, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, beneficial rain will continue to fall throughout
much of Southern California. Outside of the deserts, at
least 0.25 of an inch of rain is expected with even higher
totals in the foothills; there can be snow in the mountains.
However, the rain comes after an extended dry period. Areas
with burn scars from wildfires can potentially have
mudslides. In eastern Texas into Louisiana there can be
periods of rain with thunder that could lead to ponding on
roads. Otherwise, much of the country will be dry except for
some snow showers in the interior Northeast, some snow in
central Nevada and spotty showers in southern Nevada into
western Arizona. The Northeast can be breezy at times. The
Southeast for the most part can have more sun than clouds
and be relatively pleasant.
