NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms tomorrow from the southern Plains to the Ohio
River Valley and as far north as central Missouri can
produce hail, widespread damaging winds and tornadoes into
tomorrow night. The greatest risk exists in the lower
Mississippi River Valley. Much of the country can be very
windy. Gusts of 40 mph or greater can cover most of the
Plains, Midwest and south into the Appalachians. The
strongest winds are expected to in eastern Colorado where
there can be dangerous crosswinds on interstates 80 and 76
coming from the north. In New Mexico extending into
southeastern Colorado, western Oklahoma, West and central
Texas, strong winds, dry brush and low humidity will lead to
a significant wildfire risk. Across the northern and western
Plains blowing snow can reduce visibility.
