The Nation's Weather for Wednesday, April 20, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Periods of rain will soak Illinois, Wisconsin and the
western Upper Peninsula of Michigan tomorrow. A wide swath
of showers will dampen a zone from Missouri to central
Minnesota. The air may be cold enough for a mix of rain and
snow in northern Minnesota. Farther south, a few
thunderstorms in southeastern Kansas and central and eastern
Oklahoma could turn severe with localized flash flooding,
large hail, damaging wind gusts and even isolated tornadoes.
A new storm coming ashore along the West coast will bring
rain from western Washington to Northern California, with
snow in the mountains. Much of the East will be dry, except
for a few lingering flurries or rain showers in northern New
England. Temperatures will remain above normal in the Desert
Southwest, but not quite as high as recent days.
