NATIONAL SUMMARY
Soaking rain will continue to raise the risk for flooding in
eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota tomorrow. Severe
thunderstorms with flash flooding, hail, damaging wind gusts
and even isolated tornadoes will rumble from eastern Iowa
and southern Wisconsin to Illinois, Missouri and northern
Arkansas. The highest risk of severe weather is likely to be
in central and east-central Illinois. A few showers and
thunderstorms are likely in Kentucky and the Carolinas. The
next system will come ashore in the Pacific Northwest, with
rain showers in coastal Washington, Oregon and eastward into
Idaho. Only the highest elevations of the Cascades will have
any snow. A very windy day is expected in western South
Dakota, much of Nebraska, northeastern Colorado and northern
Kansas.
