The Nation's Weather for Sunday, May 22, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Spotty shower activity in the Pacific Northwest will extend
eastward through the northern and central Rockies tomorrow.
Some flurries can linger in the high terrain of the central
Rockies as well. Temperatures across the Rockies and
northern Plains are expected to remain below normal. The
Southwest will be hot and dry once again. A front draped
from Maine through the mid-Atlantic and into the Gulf Coast
of Texas will allow for much of the Eastern Seaboard and
Gulf Coast to have thunderstorm activity. Thunderstorms
could become severe inland in the Northeast. These storms
could bring threats of hail, flash flooding, damaging wind
gusts and even an isolated tornado. The East will also once
again have unseasonably hot weather with temperatures
climbing into the upper 80s and mid-90s.
