The undefeated Cobras of Moorhead Central

The undefeated Cobras of Moorhead Central were all set to play in the state title game this weekend in Jackson, but that has been postponed due to the possibility of a winter storm hitting the state late this week. The game will be played on January 18 at 11 a.m. at Hinds Community College, according to Head Coach Curtis Stuckey.

Youth Leadership Institute service project

Delta Sigma Theta donates items to shelter

The Greenwood Itta-Bena Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. donated several items to the Sunflower County Transitional Shelter for the Homeless last week as part of its Founders Day public service activity. The shelter is operated by the Sunflower County Ministerial Alliance Counseling Services.
