City approves MDEQ solid waste grant

Indianola may soon have a dedicated full-time solid waste officer. The board of aldermen voted on Wednesday to approve a grant from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (Solid Waste Assistance Grant) that will pay a portion of the officer’s salary to the tune of $18,840.
