Indianola police did not report any arrests for the week of November 19 to November 26. In other calls, On November 20 at 6:26 a.m., a 41-year-old Lunar Circle woman said that she wanted to file charges for threatening and malicious mischief against a 41-year-old Wiggins Road man.

On Friday, November 29 at 2:37pm, the Sunflower Volunteer Fire Department responded to a garbage dumpster fire on Penny Circle. On Saturday, November 30 at 6:32pm, Rescue 1 and the Indianola Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash in the 200 block of US Highway 82 East. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Board will review bids on courthouse rehab project

The Sunflower County Board of Supervisors took a pair of bids on the courthouse’s renovation project under advisement this week. County Engineer Ron Cassada presented to the board the bids for the CDBG Project. This is the third rebid on the project.
