Cops and Robbers April 11, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On Monday at 5:59 p.m., Shytevian K. Fant 24, 620 North Elmwood Circle was arrested and charged with trespassing—willful and malicious and harassment after a Mill Street woman said he and a 25-year-old Monument Drive, Tupelo woman came to her home in a black 2010 Dodge Charger and hit her red 1998 Toyota Camry and left.

On Friday at 1:49 p.m., Marcus L. Nelson 29, 620 Garrard Ave., and Leequinn Amura McCloud 20, 205 Maybelle St., were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—fighting and McCloud was also charged with simple assault on a police officer after officers were called to the 600 block of Garrard Avenue because of a fight in progress.

On Saturday at 10:54 p.m., Larry Cornelius Chatmon 55, 108 North Davis Circle was arrested and charged with DUI—refusal or inability to submit to a chemical test, profanity—vulgar and indecent language, disorderly conduct—failure to comply with police, no insurance, reckless driving (first offense), suspended driver's license (first offense within two years) and a seat belt violation.

On Monday at 9:12 a.m., Clementine Smith 55, 402 Ghoston St., Inverness was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said she pushed a shopping cart full of groceries, valued at $152, out of the store without paying for them.

On Friday at 7:49 p.m., Elijah Chavers 54, 408 Hanna Ave., and Johnnie Lyons 49, 505 Faison Ave., were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—disturbing the peace after officers were called to George's Lounge about a disturbance. Both men were reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

On April 2 at 7:11 p.m., Cassandra Beckworth 38, 406 Hampton St., was arrested and charged with trespassing after notice of non-permission when a Discount Food Mart employee said she keeps coming back to the store after they had previously told her she wasn't allowed because of her behavior.

On April 2 at 8:57 p.m., Cassandra Beckworth 38, 406 Hampton St., was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct—failure to comply with police when she returned to the Discount Food Mart after officers had instructed her not to go back to the store that night.

On Monday at 10:46 a.m., Dennis Mosley 27, 705 Coates Street was arrested and charged with shoplifting (first offense $1,000 or less) after a Walmart employee said he stole several packs of Energizer batteries with a total value of $66.

On Saturday at 2:16 p.m., Toni Delicia Davis 25, 1077 Baskin Drive, Greenville was arrested and charged with shoplifting along with 56-year-old Mary Townsend, 900 Airport Road, when police were called to the Dollar General store and told that the two stole $5 worth of anklet socks, $5 worth of Nudy soothing gel and $16 worth of other items.

On April 2 at 2:48 p.m., Andreanna Martinique Banks 21, 359-A Beaverdam Road was arrested and charged with shoplifting (first offense) after a Walmart employee said she stole $3 worth of foam plates and $148 worth of clothing items.

On Friday at 10:05 p.m., a 34-year-old North Davis Circle man said a 31-year-old Coates Street woman hit him in the nose.

On Sunday at 8:34 a.m., a 16-year-old boy told police that one of his friends accidentally shot him at a home in the 200 block of West Augusta Street.

On April 1 at 5:41 p.m., a 61-year-old U.S. 82 East man said a 54-year-old Garrard Avenue man threatened him and vandalized his property.

On April 3 at 4:39 a.m., a 54-year-old Broadmoor Drive man called officers because of suspicious activity and a possible burglary near his home.

On Monday at 8:54 p.m., while doing a walk-through at Walmart, officers were told by an employee that a 42-year-old MS 448, Shaw woman stole eight packs of ribeye steaks valued at $120 and a pack of lobster tails valued at $8 and left the store without paying for them.

On Monday at 5:44 p.m., a 34-year-old Dorsett Drive woman said her ex-boyfriend, a 31-year-old man, has been harassing her and he threatened her.

On Monday at 6:48 a.m., a Cleveland Street man called officers to the Double Quick on U.S. 82 because of damage done to his Isuzu truck.

On Thursday at 4:37 p.m., a two-vehicle crash at US 49 and Main Street that was originally reported with no injuries, resulted in a Carter Road, Silver City woman, driving a 2016 Tahoe and a West Augusta Street man, driving a 1995 Ford Bronco, being transported to the South Sunflower County Hospital emergency room for treatment.

On Friday at 10:53 a.m., officers were called to the 400 block of Slim Street regarding a domestic disturbance between a 20-year-old Slim Street woman and a 22-year-old Monterey Road, Richland, Mississippi man. An all season tire on the woman’s 2007 Nissan Altima was also reported as damaged.

On Saturday at 8:12 a.m., a 66-year-old Wiggins Road man said someone stole his Weider weight bench.

On Saturday at 8:04 a.m., an Ethel Waters Drive woman said someone stole a weight bench and it was later found on an empty lot on Coates Street.

On April 2 at 6:39 p.m., a 69-year-old Lee Street man said another Lee Street man threatened him.

On Monday at 5:04 p.m. officers were called to U.S. 82 East, near KFC, because of a hit-and-run involving a 49-year-old Jackson Avenue, Yazoo City woman, driving a 2016 Dodge Ram truck and an unknown suspect driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata.

On Monday at 2:46 p.m., officers were called to help a burn victim in the 600 block of Elmwood Circle. A 33-year-old South Collins Street, Isola woman is listed as the victim.

On April 3 at 1:46 p.m., a 76-year-old Lunar Circle man, driving a 2008 Cadillac CTS was involved in a collision with a Columbus and Greenville Railway train near Hanna Avenue. No injuries were reported.

On Thursday at 7:51 p.m., a 32-year-old Baird Avenue woman said someone damaged her 2007 GMC Yukon.

On Friday at 2:57 p.m., a concerned citizen told police that a 29-year-old Nettleton, Mississippi man, driving a Reed's Metal of Tupelo truck and pulling a trailer, ran over a stop sign at the corner of First Avenue and Hoover Street.

On April 2 at 6:35 p.m., a 59-year-old B.B. King Road woman said someone broke into a structure and stole a $300 air compressor, a $600 generator, a $230 grass edger, a $60 air tank and a $130 heater.

On April 3 at 2:03 p.m., a Walmart employee said a 51-year-old Alexander Street, Shaw man stole a $14 backpack, a $24 backpack, $120 worth of steaks, $32 worth of bacon plus $23 worth of other meat products.

On April 2 at 5:48 p.m., a 33-year-old Mill Street man said a 31-year-old Kinlock Road woman was harassing him and he wants to file charges against her.

On March 31 at 8:47 p.m., a 27-year-old South Southwest Plaza man said he lost his black iPhone 7 plus and black OtterBox.

On Monday at 6:27 a.m., a Walmart employee said that on Sunday at 10 p.m., a 56-year-old man stole $24 worth of oxtails.

On Saturday at 4:35 p.m., a Walmart employee said a 33-year-old Hough Street man stole $3 worth of wings.

On April 2 at 9:22 p.m., Layorker Roby 27, 311 Mill St., was arrested and charged with contempt of court for failure to appear.

On April 3 at 12:35 p.m., Demetria Hazzard 44, 426 East Main St., Charleston, Mississippi was arrested and charged with prohibitions generally.

On April 3 at 1:43 p.m., Bobby Townsend 31, 109 East Sunflower St., Ruleville was arrested and charged with violation of drug court rules.

On April 3 at 3:25 p.m., Keviyunna Clark 19, 275 Nancy St., Drew was arrested and charged with violation of drug court rules.

On April 3 at 3:35 p.m., Alexis Spencer 35, 310 ½ Church St., was arrested and charged with violation of drug court rules.

On Thursday 12:28 a.m., Antonio Carter 38, 101 Lamar Road was arrested and charged with contempt of Municipal Court.

On Thursday at 9:57 a.m., Christopher Gill 40, 1946 Country 2400 North, Clay City, Illinois was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

On Monday at 1:59 p.m., Steven Price Jr 25, 810 Mill St., was arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building/car.

On Monday at 2:47 p.m., Regina Short 29, 139 Cypress Acres, Sunflower was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

On Monday at 7:32 p.m., Eric Demond Totten 28, 1303 Roosevelt Ave., Apt-E., Greenwood was arrested and charged with speeding and driving with a suspended/revoked driver's license.

On Monday at 9:24 p.m., Adriaen Yolanda Bell 42, 722 MS-448 was arrested and charged with shoplifting.

On Monday at 9:58 p.m., Tonya Dunlap 34, 103 Plantation Ave., Sunflower was arrested and charged with public drunkenness.
