Indianola police made the following calls:
On July 16 at 4:20 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Hibbett Sports in reference to a shoplifting report where a store employee reported that $570 in merchandise had been taken by unknown suspects.
On July 17 at 4:17 p.m. officers responded to 903 Hwy. 82 E. in reference to a disturbance where a 29-year-old Delta Blues Street woman stated that her child’s father, a 50-year-old Janet Davis Circle man, came to her job, started arguing with her and then started choking her.
On July 18 at 3:39 p.m. officers responded to a call in reference to a larceny that occurred at 306 Henderson Street where a 32-year-old woman reported that a washer and dryer had been stolen.
On July 18 at 3:57 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 914 Hwy. 82 W.in reference to property damage. A 28-year-old man stated that his Freightliner trailer was damaged by an employee of the business during the time the employee was unloading his trailer.
On July 18 at 10:11 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 227 West Davis Circle in reference to a shooting into an occupied dwelling. The suspect is listed as a 20-year-old Faisonia Plantation Road man.
On July 19 at 7:19 a.m. an officer was dispatched to 215 Front Street in reference to a burglary report. Items reportedly taken by unknown suspect(s) are: $18 worth of Bud Light Lemon; $10 worth of Kingsford charcoal; $15 worth of Fago Cola soda; and $50 worth of Tire Shine.
On July 19 at 8:22 a.m. an officer responded to 631 Hwy. 82 in reference to an auto burglary. The victim stated that an unknown person(s) broke into his 2019 Nissan pickup truck during the night hours of July 18 and took the following items: a vehicle unlock kit, valued at $260; and a Starter baseball hat from behind the driver’s seat, valued at $35. There were no signs of forced entry.
On July 19 at 12:14 p.m. an officer responded to 212 Catchings regarding stolen checks. The suspect is listed as a Hodge Road woman.
On July 20 at 12:14 a.m. an officer was dispatched to 305 Birch Avenue in reference to a domestic dispute call. The victim is listed as a 27-year-old woman. Arrested for Domestic Violence – Simple was 33-year-old Germany Kiniski Watson.
On July 21 at 10:21 a.m. an officer responded to 705 Roosevelt Street in reference to property damage. A 25-year-old female victim reported that there was damage to the front windshield of her vehicle, a 2002 GMC Yukon. There was also damage to the arm rest of the backseat. The damage appears to be from a bullet. A 47-year-old victim there also reported that she had damage to her residence from what also appears to be a bullet.
On July 22 at 12:02 a.m. an officer responded to 219 Front Ave. Ext. where a store employee reported an incident of shoplifting. Taken were $2 in candy bars and $46 worth of beer. Listed as suspects are a 27-year-old Stockyard St., Sunflower woman, a 30-year-old Short Street, Greenville woman, a 28-year-old Lincoln Street woman and a 32-year-old Wiggins Road man.
On July 22 at 11:11 a.m. an officer responded to a call at 306 Mimosa in reference to a domestic dispute where the victim, a 28-year-old woman reported damage to the passenger-side mirror of her 2016 Nissan Altima. The suspect is listed as a 26-year-old Mabelle Street man.
On July 22 at 12:31 p.m. an officer responded to a call in reference to an accident at Double Quick on B.B. King Road. The two vehicles are listed as a 2003 Chev. Tahoe driven by the owner, a 26-year-old W. Herman Johnson Street man and a 2014 Nissan Rogue driven by the owner, a 60-year-old Janet Circle woman.
On July 22 at 3:41 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 109 Jefferson Davis in reference to a disturbance. Those involved were a 35-year-old Jefferson Davis woman who is listed as a complainant, a 52-year-old North Davis Circle woman who is listed as a suspect and a 32-year-old Cadillac Cove man who is listed as both a suspect and a complainant.
On July 22 at 3:51 p.m. an officer responded to a call at Pershing and Jefferson regarding threatening. The victim, a 24-year-old Fountain Street woman stated that the suspect, a 27-year-old Sunflower Road, Moorhead woman pointed a gun at her and her child.
On July 22 at 4:42 p.m. an officer was dispatched to 622 Coates Street in reference to shots fired, where the suspect, listed as a 28-year-old Coates Street man supposedly shot a the victim, listed as a 58-year-old Coates Street man. Recovered as evidence was a 223 Remington shell casing.

On Tuesday at 2:44 p.m., Adrian Laray Smith Jr., 17, 1111 W. Pond St., Doddsville was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
On Wednesday at 1:45 p.m., Albert Jones, 31, 2654 Airdale Dr., Greenville was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court.
On Wednesday at 1:58 p.m., Lakelia Shawnta King, 37, 2654 Airdale Dr., Greenville was arrested and charged with contempt of municipal court.
On Thursday at 12:19 p.m., Eric Lavar Edwards, 34, 118 Aquarius Circle was arrested and charged with domestic violence w/injuries – 1st offense and disorderly conduct – failure to obey officer.
On Thursday at 12:46 p.m., Pamela Letress Plain, 35, 118 Aquarius Circle was arrested and charged with domestic violence – simple assault.
On Friday at 1:04 p.m., Tommy Thompson Jr., 48, 100 W. Minot Rd., Rome was arrested and charged with simple assault on a minor w/o injuries.
On Friday at 8:34 p.m., Johnnie Lyons, 49, 505 Faison Ave. was arrested and charged with contempt of court and disturbing the peace.
