Cops and Robbers May 16, 2019

Indianola police made the following arrests,

On Thursday at 12:52 p.m., Martin Luther Broadnax 50, 905 South Boulevard, Greenwood was arrested and charged with shoplifting after a Walmart employee said he stole $4 worth of bourbon wings.

On Thursday at 9:11 p.m., Leequinn A. McCloud 20, 625 Roosevelt St.,/205 Maybelle St., was arrested and charged with simple domestic violence, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct—failure to comply with officers. A 21-year-old Roosevelt Street resident is listed as the victim.

In other calls,

On May 8 at 3:58 p.m., officers were called to the Indianola Post Office about harassment. A 65-year-old Chapman Street man is listed as the complainant and the suspect is unknown, but reportedly driving a gray Ford F-150 pickup.

On May 8 at 3:16 p.m., a 26-year-old Avalon Way, Brandon man, driving a 2017 Nissan Versa and a 51-year-old Thomas Street, Greenville man, driving a 2000 GMC Sierra pickup truck, were involved in an accident on Catchings Street near the Double Quick, no injuries were reported.

On Monday at 4:14 p.m., a 34-year-old Jackson Street woman said a 55-year-old Wiggins Road man was trespassing on her property.

On Sunday at 5:45 p.m., someone told officers that a Hoover Street man with mental problems, wearing a lime green t-shirt, was walking down Hoover Street brandishing a gun. However, when police arrived and contacted the man, he did not have a weapon on him, but a New England 12-gauge rifle was found in a closet in the living room of his home. The officers kept the weapon and told the man's brother that he could pick it up the next day.

On May 8 at 8:29 a.m., during his preliminary hearing, a 21-year-old Cox Street man threatened to shoot up an officer's house.

On May 6 at 5:21 p.m., a 39-year-old Oak Street woman driving a 2019 Nissan Rogue and a 23-year-old West Second Street, Leland woman driving a 2019 Dodge Durango were involved in an accident in the Walmart parking lot. Damage was reported on each vehicle, but no injuries were reported.

On May 8 at 7:21 p.m., a 35-year-old Aquarius Circle woman said her husband, a 34-year-old Aquarius Circle man, assaulted her by choking her with both hands.

On Saturday at 10:29 a.m., a Walmart employee said a 35-year-old Azalea Drive man was trespassing at the store after being banned for stealing.

On Thursday at 12:21 p.m., a 61-year-old Second Avenue woman and a 64-year-old Itta Bena Road, Sunflower man were involved in an accident on U.S. 82. No injuries were reported. Damage was reported to a 2017 Nissan, although no damage was reported on the 2001 Chevrolet.

On May 8 at 1:08 p.m., a 63-year-old South Davis Circle man said someone stole a $1,443 check from his mailbox and forged his name on it.

On May 8 at 2:28 p.m., a 29-year-old B.B. King Road man said a 54-year-old Lucille Street woman was harassing him.

On Monday at 8:21 a.m., a 46-year-old Lunar Circle woman said her husband, a 40-year-old Lunar Circle man, woke up and started an argument with her, threatened to hurt her and has been verbally abusive toward her.

On Friday at 3:03 a.m., a 33-year-old B.B. King Road woman said her ex-boyfriend, a 24-year-old Kinlock Road man, hit her with his fist and pulled a gun on her.

On May 8 at 9:54 a.m., a 35-year-old B.B. King Road woman said a 28-year-old Greenwood man was harassing her.

On Thursday at 2:41 p.m., a 54-year Old Airport Road woman said her boyfriend, a 58-year-old Airport Road man has been constantly making threats that he is going to shoot her in the face plus he has been verbally abusive and she wants him out of her house.

The following persons were booked into the Sunflower County jail May 7 to May 14,

On May 7 at 3 p.m., Cassandra Mazette Beckworth 38, 406 Hampton St., was arrested and charged with contempt of court and disturbing the peace.

On May 7 at 3:37 p.m., Larry Watson 29, 603 Beaverdam Road Apt. 13 was arrested and charged with probation violation.

On May 7 at 4:51 p.m., Fredrick Rogers 35, 106 Lunar Circle was arrested and charged with probation violation and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle.

On May 8, Darius Wade 50, 108 Hull Circle was arrested and charged with probation violation.

On Thursday at 8:14 p.m., Erica Shyrese Hodges 23, 505 Chandler St., was arrested and charged with armed robbery, two counts simple assault—bodily harm, malicious mischief, resisting arrest and failure to comply with the request of an officer.

On Saturday at 9:30 p.m., Kenneth Robinson 50, 725 Hoover St., was arrested and charged with domestic violence--simple assault.

On Monday at 1:10 a.m., Detriss Landford 19, 936 Bellevue Drive was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, contempt of court and displaying a firearm.

On Tuesday at 1:53 p.m., Roderick DeWayne Moton 36, 1204 Ingram St., Moorhead was arrested and charged with trespassing after notice of non-permission and loitering.

On Tuesday at 2:23 p.m., James Conley Wilson 45, 315 Audubon Place, Jackson was arrested and charged with forgery.
