Indianola police made the following arrests,
On Monday at 12:37 p.m., S.B. Grandford Phillips II, 23, 103 Lucille St., was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after officers were called to the 1200 block of Fourth Avenue because of a threatening. A Ruger 9-mm handgun valued at $400 was reportedly taken into evidence.
On Monday at 6:18 p.m., Robert Young, 58, 422 Westside Ave., was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after officers were called to the South Sunflower County Hospital emergency room where Young had allegedly shot a 26-year-old Westside Avenue man in the right foot with a .22 caliber rifle.
On May 19 at 8:46 p.m., Lamarquis Daniel Cooks, 28, 3 Crane St., was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent (enhanced by firearm). Also arrested was Alexander Xavier Turner, 32, 910 Broadmoor Drive. He was reportedly charged with possession of marijuana with intent (enhanced by firearm) and possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid in a motor vehicle. While responding to an incident on Second Avenue, officers reportedly witnessed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and caught up with and arrested the driver and passenger. Turner was also reportedly cited for reckless driving, no seat belt and driving while license suspended. According to the report, officers impounded a 2012 Dodge Charger, confiscated 27 9-mm live rounds a 40-round magazine, a 30-round magazine, a 9-mm Taurus PT111 GS, an Omni Hybrid multi-caliber rifle, 68 AP-15 556 live rounds, three scales, a total of 155 grams of a green leafy substance described as marijuana, along with other items including over $800 in cash.

On Monday at 4:23 p.m., a Walmart employee said that on December 30, 2019 a 28-year-old Rebecca Drive Greenville man stole a Samsung TV and Nerf gun valued at $427.
On Sunday at 2:14 p.m., an 18-year-old Hampton Street woman said that her boyfriend, a 22-year-old Johnny Russell Dr., Moorhead man, assaulted her by choking her and cutting off her airway and she wants to press charges.
On Sunday at 6:43 p.m., a Walmart employee said that a 42-year-old Youngblood Street man stole a Vizio 43-inch TV valued at $278, a Gamo Shadow BB gun valued at $98 and a scooter valued at $378.
On May 14 at 9:56 a.m., a 52-year-old Torino Drive man and a 26-year-old North Walker Circle woman were named as both suspects and victims in a harassment and threatening claim.
On May 20 at 11:55 a.m., a 49-year-old Deer Creek Drive, Hollandale man said a Wendy's employee, a 20-year-old Henry Rosser Drive man, threatened to assault him.
On May 19 at 6:51 p.m., a 23-year-old Airport Road woman said her ex-boyfriend pointed a gun at her. A 28-year-old Aquarius Circle man and a 33-year-old Sunflower Avenue man are named as suspects.
On May 17 at 12:50 p.m., a 53-year-old Terrace Street man driving a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and a College Avenue man driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado pickup were involved in an accident on U.S. Highway 82 near KFC. No injuries were recorded.
On May 14 at 1:45 p.m., a 2002 Chevrolet Impala LS driven by a Curtis Street woman and a 2012 Ford F-450 utility truck driven by an AT&T employee were involved in an accident in the 400 block of Cleveland Street. No injuries were reported.
On Saturday at 4:17 a.m., a 72-year-old Church Street man said someone stole his red Cobalt impact saw valued at $380 and a Milwaukee Tools saw valued at $280.
On Sunday at 8:04 a.m., a 54-year-old Lunar Circle woman said a Capshaw Drive woman assaulted her on Church Avenue by spraying mace/pepper spray in her face.
On Sunday at 10:05 a.m., a Hannah Avenue man said someone broke into his home and stole an 80-piece tool set and three milk crates valued at $30.
On May 19 at 11:41 p.m., a 39-year-old Spoonbill Court woman said her neighbors were firing shots in the area.
On Saturday at 7:55 a.m., a 49-year-old Martin Luther King Street, Tchula man said someone broke the front passenger-side window out of his 1995 Chevrolet truck.
On May 19 at 5:30 p.m., a 53-year-old Fourth Avenue man said someone stole his Community Bank debit card.
On May 18 at 4:07 p.m., a Quick Circle woman said someone stole a black iPhone 7 plus valued at $400 and owned by a 16-year-old Kinlock Road boy.
On Friday at 7:59 p.m., a 58-year-old Kinlock Road woman said her window had a small crack in it and she noticed a BB pellet on the ground near the window.
On Friday at 3:58 a.m., a 33-year-old Simon Road, Pace, Mississippi woman said a 24-year-old Pershing Avenue woman broke into her 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt and stole a purse and $200.
