A $50,000 bond has been set for Jerry Lee Gray 51, 210 West Gresham St., and Patricia Lay 44, 416 Westside Ave., after both were charged with credit card fraud over the weekend.
Gray was reportedly staying with his niece and took her credit card.
He and Lay then supposedly withdrew $669 from the niece’s bank account using an ATM at Community Bank on April 9, plus allegedly spent around $60 at a Dodge Store.
A preliminary hearing has been set for June 4 at 3 p.m.
Also, on Monday, a shooting that led to the arrest of Rodrequez Cordell White 29, 508 Birdsong St., reportedly stemmed from a verbal argument between him and his cousin, Laterrious Swift 29, who reportedly lives at the same address.
Indianola Investigator Sgt. Bennie Milton said officers were called to the 1700 block of Garrard Avenue around 12:49 p.m., but Swift had already been taken to the hospital.
According to her, witnesses reported that Swift and his girlfriend were walking along Garrard when White pulled up and during the ensuing argument, Swift pulled a gun and then White pulled his weapon but fired first.
Swift reportedly received a non-life threatening wound and was treated and released.
