The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center has been awarded a $143,976 grant from the Institute of Museum & Library Sciences (MLS.
According to a release from the museum this week, this grant is part of a total of $1.4 million MLS will award over the next two years across the country.
This grant will be used to fund the museum’s projects and education programs, the release said.
The B.B. King Museum was also recently awarded a $26,100 grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission for, also to be used for education programs.
MLS is now celebrating its 20th year in existence and is the primary source of federal support for over 123,000 libraries and 35,000 museums across the nation.
