The B.B. King Museum & Delta Interpretive Center opened its doors for the first time since March this week. Voted the state’s best tourist attraction by USAToday readers in 2018, the museum is Sunflower County’s biggest tourist attraction, consistently drawing over 25,000 visitors a year. The novel coronavirus, which shut the exhibits down in late March, will continue to affect the museum’s operations, Executive Director Malika Polk-Lee said, as most organized tours have been canceled, as well as foreign travel from places like Europe. The museum is open Tuesdays-Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Pictured above are two of many visitors who dropped by on Tuesday at the reopening.
