During an executive session in Monday night’s city board meeting, aldermen voted to fire two city employees and suspend a police officer.
The board voted 4-1 to terminate the employment of two public works employees.
Ruben Wood voted no.
City aldermen also voted to hire a new police officer, accept the resignation of an officer and suspend another officer for 36 hours and place him on six months probation.
The board voted to approve the claims docket, which included an invoice to Wyatt Skelton, regarding a city water line, to prevent litigation.
