Two former students of the now closed James C. Rosser Elementary School in Moorhead were recently awarded $200.00 courtesy of the James C. Rosser Scholarship Fund.
The fund was started after the death of James C. Rosser. His son, of the same name, and others contribute to this endowment.
Former principal Angela S. Winters said, “We have a group of parents who are continuing to help sponsor these scholarships.”
The students, Ikia Crisler, Travion Dozier and Mercedes Hayes attended James C. Rosser from grades Pre-K thru 5th grade.
The committee votes and decides on how many recipients and how much each student will receive.
The scholarships are awarded to the students during their second semester of college.
