A murder trial that was set to happen in Sunflower County has been granted a change of venue.
Beginning December 2, three Sunflower county men will be tried in a Leflore County court for the December 2015 murder of Willie J. Gilson, 52, who was shot in the driveway of his home on Walker Street a week before Christmas after an apparent failed robbery attempt.
District Attorney W. Dewayne Richardson said Lucas Edwards, 30, Garrick Price, 27, and Vilandrius Gibson, 35 will stand trial before Judge Richard Smith to answer for the particular charges levied against them.
