An early morning shooting on Tuesday left an Indianola man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his right leg.
Jakevius Tyler, 19, was shot around 4:39 a.m., on April 3, on Janet Davis Circle.
Sgt. Irish Johnson said it is unclear where the shooting took place or the reason for it because the victim is not talking.
“No one is talking,” Johnson said.
According to Johnson, the shooting happened in either the 100 block or the 200 block of the street.
The name of the suspect has not been released because Johnson said it is not yet confirmed.
The incident is still under investigation.
Tyler was taken to Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville by private vehicle, treated and released, Johnson said.
