Jyesha Johnson has joined The Enterprise-Tocsin staff.
Johnson, a recent graduate of Ole Miss’ journalism school, will be The E-T’s first Multimedia Coordinator, overseeing the paper’s print production, as well as a number of digital-first initiatives.
“We are very excited to have Jyesha join the staff fulltime,” said E-T Publisher Bryan Davis. “She has interned with us for two consecutive summers, and her education and skillset are in line with what this organization needs to grow its online presence and audience engagement.”
A broadcast journalism major, Johnson is a 2015 graduate of Gentry High School.
Her role at The E-T will be unique in that she will be over production, and she will be a digital reporter in the field.
“It feels good to come back home from college with a broader perspective,” Johnson said.
She will be handling The E-T’s social media, as well as the creation of online videos that will be packaged with the weekly print product.
“I would like to expand The Enterprise-Tocsin through social media,” Johnson said. “I want to give our audience more material they can interact with.”
