Moorhead Police Chief Fred Randle had issued a caution to the town's residents at the onset of his term there, but apparently some Moorhead residents still have not adhered to his warning when it comes to riding four-wheelers and side-by-side vehicles on city streets.
"It's not legal, Moorhead Police Department will ticket and tow," Randle said.
Shortly after taking office last year, Randle issued a statement denouncing the riding of the vehicles on city streets after noticing some of the citizens' propensity to ignore the city ordinance. He said on Tuesday that the practice must stop and it will absolutely no longer be tolerated.
In addition, Mississippi State law, Miss. Code. Ann. 63-31-3, states that no person may operate an off-road vehicle on a public road or highway of this state.
