Indianola Mayor Steve Rosenthal was recently elected to his fifth term on the board of directors for the Mississippi Municipal League.
Rosenthal has served on the board’s legislative committee for the past four years.
Rosenthal has taken advantage of the opportunity with the MML, completing all three stages of training, Basic, Advanced and Professional Level.
“The League advocates aggressively for municipal-friendly legislation with the help of our full-time director of public and government affairs and a professional lobbiest,” the League said in a statement. “The MML legislative committee, along with the League staff meets with legislators to ensure that they are informed and up to date on the interests of our cities and towns.”
Rosenthal will begin serving his fifth term at the Sept. 29 meeting of the League at the Gold Strike Resort in Tunica.
