The location where election returns will be canvassed has changed from the Oct. 10 location.
According to a release from The Indianola Municipal Democratic Executive Committee this week, the location has been moved from the City Hall Annex to the Sunflower County Courthouse (200 Main St.).
The polls close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and canvassing will begin at that time.
“The committee made the change in order to accomodate the public and the process due to overcrowding during canvassing at the previous location at the Indianola City Hall Annex,” the committee said in the release.
The committee will meet the morning after the election in the City Hall Annex building to canvass any affidavit ballots cast in the runoff.
Incumbent Mayor Steve Rosenthal and challenger Vivian Jenkins are vying for the Democratic nomination for mayor.
